The Olde Angel Inn, the oldest operating inn in Upper Canada has become a Corporate Sponsor of the Niagara-on-the-Lake War of 1812 Bicentennial with a significant donation for each of the three years of events.
One of the major events during the war was the burning of Niagara (Newark) which took place December 10th 1813.
The Olde Angel Inn will be participating in the re-enactment of this commemorative occasion. The event will be staged in the market square at the front of the Angel Inn on Saturday December 7th, 2013.
The production will include a special video filmed for the occasion which will be shown on a giant screen. There will also be a Sound and Light show as well as firework displays all around the Courthouse. The Courthouse will be open to the public where there will be stalls, stores and displays.
